Christine Larsen-Romney, President & Chief Executive Officer
Christine has been billing for midwives for over a decade. She is passionate about midwifery and is so grateful that LBS is in a position to help so many midwives throughout the country. She lives in Logan, UT with her 3 children, the youngest of which was born at home. Christine enjoys an active lifestyle that includes exercising, hiking, traveling, running, reading, camping, and playing with her kids.
Diane Harston, Client Relations
Diane and her husband, Glen, are the proud parents of nine wonderful children who, in turn, are now doing their part to add to the family tree. Grandchildren will be the next fun-filled adventure in Diane’s life! She has been a part of the LBS team since October 2007. Diane enjoys hiking in the beautiful backcountry of her beloved Washington State, volunteering in her community, working in her yard and trying new recipes.
Emily Lambert, Chief Financial Officer
Emily lives in Roseville, California, with her husband Paul, small dog Scooby, and cat Bubba. She is a Notary Public in California, and has a passion for technology, business, and helping others. Emily’s hobbies include fishing, photography, reading, traveling, camping and spending time with her family.
Chellie Phillips, Research & Development
Chellie has been in the medical industry since 1995. She started working at insurance companies in the claims department for 9 years, and then moved to LBS in 2005. Chellie is the mother of 4 children and lives in Utah. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking and performing in the local theaters.

Suzanne Gainey, Client Billing Manager
Suzanne began her career with LBS in 2008. She is a wife and mother of 2 girls and lives with her family in Bend, Oregon. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Humboldt State University in music and plays several musical instruments. Suzanne enjoys spending time with her family as well as playing in her family bluegrass band, cooking, reading, hiking and camping.
Julie Packer, Billing Department Manager
Julie began her career with LBS in 2008. She lives with her family on a ranch in Enumclaw, Washington where they moved from San Mateo, California in 2002. She has over 13 years of experience as a legal assistant. Julie and her husband own a freight forwarding and customs brokerage business. They have 6 children ranging in ages from 22 to 10 years and one grandchild. Julie enjoys being outdoors, hiking, water skiing, snow skiing and gardening.
Kim Spooner, Billing Department Manager
Kim has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Oregon University. She currently resides in Beaverton, Oregon with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, reading and going to the gym.
Arden Hammel, Verification of Benefits Manager
Arden lives in Maquoketa, Iowa with her husband, Jon, her 14 year old son, Dillon, and their two kittens, Ivy and Buck. She attended the University of Iowa and is a huge Hawkeye fan. Arden worked as an Office Manager for several years prior to joining the LBS team. In her spare time, Arden loves to spend time with her family, especially watching Dillon play football and baseball, reading, cooking, scrapbooking, and designing greeting cards.
Beth Decker, Aging Department Manager
Beth lives in a sleepy community at the bottom of Mt. Rainier near Seattle, WA. She and her husband have 3 teenage daughters and 1 Lego-obsessed son. She has recently sent her oldest to college, gotten another new driver in the house, and teaches home-school part-time to one of her children. She loves to learn new things and enjoys teaching art appreciation classes in her children’s public school classrooms. Beth’s hobbies include reading, cooking, and an addiction to the Food-Network.

Alese Heusser, Benefits Specialist
Alese lives in Bend, Oregon with her wonderful husband Dustin, beautiful baby boy Cameron, and their two chiweenies. She attended Umpqua Community College where she received an Associates Degree in Business Administration and worked in the banking industry for several years. Alese enjoys being outdoors and spending time with my husband and little boy.
Andrea Tallman, Billing Specialist
Andrea and her husband currently live at Fort Hood in Texas. Her husband joined the army in July of 2008 and they have been stationed at Fort Hood ever since. They have two little girls Amaya and Lorylai, who were both born at home, and two dogs and one cat. Andrea enjoys spending quality time with her family, including the 4 legged members, and is very passionate about home birth and natural parenting in general.
Ashley Beaumont, Benefits Specialist
Ashley is married to her husband, Aaron, and they have a son, Ryelan, and daughter, Emmery. Ashley’s husband is an active duty soldier in the United States Army, and is currently serving in Iraq until summer, 2011. In Ashley’s free time she enjoys scrapbooking and crafting, exercising, and spending as much time as possible with family.
Britta Mosman, Billing Specialist
Britta grew up in Farmington, New Mexico, but now calls Phoenix, Arizona her home. Her husband, Reid, is attending Arizona State University to get his masters degree in architecture, and her son, Eliah, is the sunshine in her life. In her free time she loves to read, travel to exotic places, blog, and spend time with family. Some day Britta would love to own a home in Costa Rica and spend her summers there. She would also like to travel to Venice, Italy; it is on her “must see” list.
Carrie Witter, Claims Specialist
Carrie is a graduate of the University of Iowa. She has 7 years of experience dealing with medical insurance and practices. She is also a licensed insurance agent. Carrie and her husband Nick live in Marion, IA, with their dog Kobe. She is an avid runner and plays a lot of volleyball. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, hiking and traveling.
Cheri White, Billing Specialist
Cheri lives in South Jordan, Utah with her husband, son and daughter. She previously worked for an Insurance Administration Company and has over 14 years of customer service experience. Cheri enjoys traveling, cooking, snowboarding, rock climbing, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
Dianne Timpson, Billing Specialist
Dianne was born in San Diego, CA and now lives in Salt Lake City, UT with her husband and 3 children. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family Counseling, where she developed a love of talking to people. Dianne adores spending time with her family, scrapbooking, cooking and going away on family outings. Camping on the shores of Bear Lake is her family’s favorite get-away.
Janet Nash, Billing Specialist
Janet is a resident of Central Oregon, near Bend. She and her husband have 2 grown daughters, and recently celebrated the birth of their first grandchild. Janet brings experience as a bookkeeper to her skill set at LBS. In her spare time, Janet enjoys gardening in the challenging high desert climate, hiking in the Cascades, and babysitting her grandson.
Jody Sherwood, Claims Specialist
Jody lives in Twin Falls, Idaho in a historic farmhouse with her fiancé James, their five boys aged 6 to 16 years old, two yellow labs, a cat, a turtle, a fish, and some chickens. Jody is part of the US Army Reserves and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After her deployment, Jody finished her education at the College of Southern Idaho where she received two Associate Degrees in Horticulture and became a certified arborist. Jody is an avid reader and enjoys sewing, knitting, and home crafts.
Leena Gurtis, Benefits Specialist
Leena lives in Sacramento, California with her husband and daughter. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Riverside and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in Monterey. In her spare time, Leena is active in the community with HomeAid Sacramento, a non-profit organization building shelters for the area’s homeless, and as a Master Gardener, through the University of California Cooperation Extension program.
Lisa Giger, Billing Specialist
Lisa came to LBS with 9 years of experience in the medical field working in customer service. She was born and raised in the Great Northwest and currently lives in Enumclaw, Washington with her husband of 10 years, her 3 wonderful kids, and her yellow lab named Captain. When Lisa’s not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking/hiking with her dog and in the summertime she enjoys being out on their boat.
Lisa Martin, Billing Specialist
Lisa graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Biochemistry. She is very grateful to have found meaningful work that allows her to stay home with her new baby. She lives in Bend, Oregon, with her husband, son, and little dog. In her free time, Lisa likes to prepare complicated desserts for special occasions and dreams of decorating her own home someday.
Lizabeth Bantz, Claims Specialist
Liz lives in beautiful Sisters, Oregon. She is a single mother and is very proud of her 3 beautiful children, Patrick 23, Matthew 21, and Jacqueline 20. Lizabeth graduated from the University of Long Beach with a degree in Human Development and a minor in Psychology. She loves the outdoors and is an avid hiker, tennis and volleyball player; who also loves to fish for bass, trout and salmon (only catch and release). Although Lizabeth enjoys the mountains and Central Oregon her goal is to get back to living near the ocean.
Lucy Doezie, Benefits Specialist
Lucy was born and raised in London, England and now lives in Utah County, Utah. She is married to Chad, and has four beautiful children, Ella, Joshua, Isabel & Olivia. Lucy loves cooking, baking and playing the piano. She also enjoys a good book, doing her genealogy, and working with local youth programs. One of Lucy’s passions is photography, just like her father, who had the honor of photographing Queen Elizabeth.
Maile Mudaliar, Billing Specialist
Maile lives in Sandy, Oregon with her husband, two daughters, son, cat and puppy. She has been with Larsen Billing Service for just over four years now. Maile enjoys spending time outdoors, especially when she is running, swimming or hiking. She also loves to read in her spare time.
Marci Kulesus, Billing Specialist
Marci grew up in North Carolina and just recently moved back to High Point, NC. She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts from University of North Carolina-Greensboro and has previous experience as a Credit-Union Manager and as a Pharmacy Tech. Marci is a loving mother of 4 and enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys exercise, reading, playing piano, hard work and feels satisfaction in serving others.
Marla Clement, Claims Specialist
Marla received her Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Finance. After graduation, Marla has worked with various companies in purchasing, marketing, and human resources. Her favorite position is wife and mother, and has 4 wonderful children who keep her busy. Marla’s enjoys watching her children in their various activities, going out on dates with her husband, reading, crafting, hiking, and watching a good movie.
Natalie Cronin, Billing Specialist
Natalie lives in Logan, Utah with her husband and cat. She went to school for medical billing and received her certification in June of 2007. Natalie loves reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Nicole Wocelka, Claims Specialist
Nicole has eight years of experience in Maternal Child Healthcare Management and has attended over 200 births in homes, birth centers and hospitals as a doula. Nicole and her husband are novice modern homesteaders, living in Wisconsin with one dog, three cats, five chickens, and 90,000 honeybees.
Pamela Berry, Claims Specialist
Pamela lives in Washington State and loves the opportunity that her home state provides to spend time in the outdoors. She is a mother of five and currently a grandmother of three. Pamela loves sewing, quilting, watching college football, card making, trying her hand in photography every now and again, and also makes spending time with family a priority. It is important to Pamela to create memories and treasured relationships along the journey of life.
Shyela Chapman, Billing Specialist
Shy is a Certified Medical Assistant and has worked in a Medical Clinic for a year prior to coming to LBS. She was born at home by a midwife, and attended the birth of her 3 other siblings. She lives in Sutherlin, Oregon with her husband and two children. Shyela enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working out, and reading.
Valerie Packer, Benefits Specialist
Valerie lives with her husband in Bountiful, Utah. They have 4 grown children & 9 grandchildren, whom they love to spend time with. She has been in the Health Field for more than 10 years. Valerie enjoys going to movies, traveling, volleyball, playing the piano and sewing.
Vanessa Knox, Billing Specialist
Vanessa lives in Hampton, Illinois. She has a son, Brian, who is 13 and autistic. Vanessa finds that networking with other families and agencies has been a most valuable component. She learns new things everyday! Having a son with autism keeps her very busy, but when Vanessa has spare time, she likes to go to the gym, visit with friends, watch a good movie or TV show, take care of her home and go visit her family in Texas, especially during the cold Illinois winters.
